California Academy of Sciences

Now a "double-LEED Platinum" certified building, the new California Academy of Sciences is the largest and most-visited LEED Platinum museum in the world. The building was conceived as an exhibit to demonstrate the Academy's mission to "explore, explain and protect the natural world". Features include natural ventilation, advanced water savings and a 3-acre living roof that captures stormwater and provides wildlife habitat.
