Executive Order 11-03:

Summary:  Other than any normal parking fees, no fee shall be charger for the use of publicly available Level 1 and Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations installed and owned by the City and County of San Francisco on City-owned property through December 31, 2013. (Mayor Ed Lee, San Francisco)

Ordinance 26-08:
Summary: Sections 1135.2 and 1135.3 were added to the Police Code, the latter which requires taxi companies to reduce average per vehicle greenhouse gas emissions by 20% from 1990 levels by 2012.  For more information, click here.

Environmental Code, Chapter 4:  Healthy Air and Clean Transportation Program

Summary:  Among other directives, use alternative fuels with a low carbon impact and encourage the creation, expansion, and maintenance of alternative fueling infrastructure in the City and at City facilities.  Click here for more information.

Proposition A, Charter, Article VIIIA:  Sec. 8A.103(f):

Summary:  The SFMTA needs to identify measures to achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from San Francisco's transportation sector to 80% of 1990 levels by 2012.  Click here for more information.

Low Carbon Fuel Standard

Summary:  Program requiring all transportation fuels that are sold, supplied, or offered for sale in the state to have a lower carbon intensity, a reduction of at least 10% by 2020.  Click here to read more.
