Green Building Learning Center
Education is critical to the success of creating green buildings. The trend is transforming the conventional architectural, engineering, and construction industries into an integrated, environmentally responsible project delivery system that not only involves the upgrading of technical skills within individual disciplines but also, very importantly, design integration and multidisciplinary coordination.SF Environment provides resources to help designers and contractors learn these new skills. Among these include training workshops that prepare architects and engineers for managing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects and other building and energy related projects. San Francisco municipal design professionals can also learn to be trained on how to implement green civic projects; specifically those mandated under the Green Building Ordinance.
In addition, SF Environment has compiled information to help individuals navigate and learn more:
