Water Conservation

Using water efficiently protects a scarce natural resource and saves money as well. If you're a landlord or property owner you know this. But many San Francisco households never see a water bill directly because an estimated 65 percent of them live in rental properties. Concerned property managers and landlords are trying to install water-efficient fixtures like low-flow toilets and washing machines, but it's everyone's responsibility to use water wisely. That's why the Water Conservation Section of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission promotes the conscientious use of water by everyone citywide-residents, communities, and businesses-by offering a wide variety of water saving programs.
