Streetscapes & Infrastructure

Street beautification and maintenance keep a city vibrant and appealing and San Franciscans consider that a cooperative effort. While managing the hefty responsibility of maintaining 12,458 blocks of streets and general median and streetscape beautification, the San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW) tackles ongoing projects like Graffiti Watch, Community Corridor Partnership, and Streetscape Improvement Projects, for improving the City's public right-of-way for all users. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the DPW and the city employees and private citizens who participate in the mayor's Livable City Initiative and the implementation of the Green and Clean San Francisco policy.
