Volunteering & Interning
with SF Environment

Volunteering is a simple way to give back to the community and take care of our environment. SF Environment is always looking for energetic and like-minded individuals that want to take action through our network of community based events. Volunteers help with grassroots campaigns, events, education and other community outreach projects throughout the City. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please fill out our volunteer application. You will be added to our database of volunteers and we'll be sure to contact you with upcoming opportunities to get involved.

Interning with SF Environment provides an amazing opportunity to learn first-hand about our City's ground-breaking environmental efforts. Each program area is supported by interns who take on specific projects that contribute to the overall goals of the program. SF Environment internships provide the opportunity to gain experience working within the environmental field and build professional relationships. Many colleges offer class credit and/or compensation for these internships. We periodically post internships to our Employment and Internship page as they become available. If you would like to intern with us, please apply to an open internships
