Resolution approving Department of the Environment Funding Recommendation for San Francisco Zoological Society Electric Vehicle Infrastructure.
WHEREAS, The Department of the Environment administers federal, state and regional grants to deploy the City’s publicly available electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure; and,
WHEREAS, The visitors parking lot at the San Francisco Zoological Society (SF Zoo) is one of the public locations identified for the grant-funded EV charging infrastructure and is specifically identified for a combined solar-EV charging system; and,
WHEREAS, The San Francisco Zoo will be responsible for the ownership, operation and maintenance of solar and EV charging infrastructure installed with these grants for use in the Zoo parking lot, now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, The Commission approves the award of an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure grant to San Francisco Zoological Society, up to $65,000, as a subaward for purchase of equipment to be used for the solar-EV charging infrastructure at the Zoo, to be disbursed during FY 2013-14.
