Public records requests

In alignment with the SF Sunshine Ordinance (Chapter 67 of the San Francisco Administrative Code) and the California Public Records Act (California Govt. Code § 6250 et seq), the San Francisco Environment Department has developed the following process to respond to requests for public records:

All public records requests should be submitted to the Department via email at [email protected]

Requests should contain: 

  1. The requestor’s name and contact information,
  2. a brief description of the record(s), and
  3. a date or date range for the record (if known).
