Join us for a community day of greening and cleaning at the OMI/Excelsior Living Library, in partnership with the San Francisco Department of Public Works’ Love Our City initiative and A Living Library. Hear from SFE Director Tyrone Jue and special guest, Becca Prowda, the First Lady of SF, who will be joining our volunteer project teams.

This unique garden space connects San Miguel Child Development Center, Denman Middle School, Balboa High School, and Leadership High School, serving as a shared hub for learning and community. Come explore native plants, celebrate San Francisco’s cultural heritage, and deepen your connection to the land and nature in our neighborhood.

Volunteers will help revitalize the gardens by weeding and picking up litter, while also having the opportunity to tour the site’s bioswales. Lunch will be provided. Your participation supports local biodiversity and contributes to a greener, more vibrant community.
