Renters in San Francisco are entitled to composting and recycling services. If your building does not have recycling or composting service, call the SF Environment Department at (415) 355-3700. SF Environment will contact your property manager to help set up recycling and composting.
Follow these tips to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost as much as possible:

- Donate unwanted items for reuse or recycling.

- Schedule a pick-up of bulky items to prevent illegal dumping.
- Recycle and manage residential hazardous chemicals and medicine.
